Dream House | Lifestyle

Okay so ever since I was little I've always been OBSESSED with houses! I love going to open houses and looking at floor plans. I like to imagine at some point in my life being able to build my dream home but until then I will settle with those that are already built. So when I come across a house I LOVE it's a big deal and that's what happened when I came across this beauty that was recently on the market in Florida. OH MY GOSH. This house is everything!! I love that it's actually on the beach too! I WILL live on the beach at some point in my life. This week has been so crazy but I have a fun post coming up that I will try to get up before the weekend. I hope you all are having a great week! XO, Erica

The exclusive Windsor neighborhood in Vero Beach, Florida, is an oceanside ode to the New Urbanism school of planning, and one celebrated for its trademark Anglo-Caribbean architecture. A home by architect Clemens Bruns Schaub cleverly reworks that genre, offering a unique and versatile expression of Florida beachfront design.
At ground level, a set of swinging louvered doors painted pale blue swing open onto a wide staircase faced in with coral stone. The top step reveals the unexpected, for instead of a traditional square-footage-maximizing second floor, there is a spacious palm-shaded courtyard that features a swimming pool and an outdoor fireplace. Bordering the courtyard are rooms and suites, lending the impression that a grand Caribbean plantation home, complete with outbuildings, has been nestled in the treetops. The family rooms and master suite, situated between the courtyard and the beach, offer stunning views from a sweeping veranda.

The ground-floor level includes four guest suites, and a game room with a bar, which opens onto a loggia and a boardwalk that leads to the beach. The building’s ingenious split design belies its prodigious size, allowing for stately entertaining spaces and intimate private rooms that flow as naturally as the ocean breeze.

  1. Oh gosh! That house is just heavenly. From the first picture to the last, I really got hooked. I'm loving a lot about it, but I have to settle in naming a few of them, just like those adorable blue shutters, the courtyard and the backyard view of the beach. Thank you so much for sharing! All the best to you!

  2. I know the feeling, Erica! Open houses are a great way of seeing how different styles and fixtures would look like at someone's home. That way, you'll have an idea of what you want for your dream home. Anyway, I really like this beachside property! The entire thing is gorgeous inside and out, and having direct access to the beach is obviously a huge perk! I'm sure the owners are quite satisfied with getting that property. Cheers!
